Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2, 2026

Flood-Cast (“we”, “the app”) is built by Nxtranet Inc. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to show you accurate flood risk for your location. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

What we collect

  • Location (precise). Used to determine your nearest NOAA tide station, compute local flood risk, and place nearby storms. Used for app functionality only.
  • Contact info (email and name). Collected when you sign in with Apple, Google, or an email code, to create and secure your account.
  • Identifiers (user ID). An account identifier used to keep you signed in and associate your settings.

This data is linked to your account and used for app functionality. We do not use it for advertising or cross-app tracking, and Flood-Cast contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

How your data is used

  • To fetch tides, storm positions, and weather for your location.
  • To sign you in and remember your monitored location and preferences.
  • To send flood and hurricane alerts you have enabled.

Third-party data sources

Flood-Cast displays public data from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the National Hurricane Center. Your coordinates are sent to our forecasting service to compute your outlook; they are not shared with advertisers.

Data retention & deletion

Your account data is retained while your account is active. To request access to, or deletion of, your data, email fuat@nxtranet.com and we will process your request.

Children

Flood-Cast is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
